If there’s one thing missing from Tinder, it’s group sex. The swipe-happy app is great for getting laid old school-style — waking up in the morning next to someone you will no doubt forget about by the afternoon — but it’s less helpful for finding some more-that-four fun.

Enter “Tinder Social,” a new feature the app is currently beta testing on a small group of Australian users. (A pretty common practice, as it turns out.) It works similarly to regular Tinder: After creating a group of friends, you can swipe through other groups, talk to them, and make plans to meet up. Presumably your group needs to be comprised of other friends on Tinder — which might make hanging out with non-single buddies difficult — but people in couples are boring anyway, so no big loss there.
But while it’s presented as a helpful tool for instigating new group hangouts — “Tinder Social is a better way to go out with friends” — we all know what’s really going on here: orgies. Despite its sometimes batshit protestations that it’s not a hookup app, Tinder is most definitely a hookup app. And there’s no better way to use this kind of feature than for finding group sex.
There’s no word yet on when it’s rolling out beyond Australia’s borders — Tinder’s blog post says only that “we look forward to launching it globally soon!” — but when it does, make sure to bring a condom. You don’t want to catch gonorrhea from the evils of social media.
