Video: Earlier this week we got a great look at the new Ghostbusters, but only the tiniest glimpse of the movie's big new bad guy (bad ghost?). This new international trailer, however, gives us a few more jokes, a snifter of new footage and a much clearer look at the dead, dapper foe. The international trailer follows a lot of the same beats of the trailer released earlier this week, but there's a few new jokes in there — like Erin testing out Holtzmann's new, nuclear-powered anti-ghost weapon (and getting a fantastic reaction from Kate McKinnon, whose reactions continue to be a treasure the whole planet should cherish) and the Mayor's office dropping some shade on the Ghostbusters. Check it out below.
The most important thing in the trailer though is this great look at the new villain, who we only briefly glimpsed looking all burned up in the other trailer. Many people have assumed this is a new version of the original movie's Stay Puft Marshmallow man, but it isn't: this is Rowan, a ghost that many speculate to be the evil version of the ghost from the Ghostbusters' logo (and may be the reason as to how they get their logo in the first place), after an action figure of him shown at Toy Fair earlier this year showed him having many similar traits:
Still, it's nice to get a good look at him. Ghostbusters hits theatres July 14.
