With Australians aged 18 to 32 spending an average of 12.8 hours a week streaming their favourite shows, Optus has decided to extend its range of unlimited data plans to include ADSL 2+, cable and NBN.
From today, if you are a new Optus customer (or are recontracting) you can choose from a new range of plans with unlimited data, and score $20 a month off if you bundle it with your postpaid mobile.
"With 31 per cent of Australian households using content streaming services such as Netflix and Stan, the demand for data has never been greater," said Ben White, Managing Director of Marketing and Product at Optus. "Extending it to all our new broadband bundles means customers will never have to ration their broadband data."
"Optus has great unlimited data bundles for customers connected to the NBN, Optus' cable and ADSL 2+ networks," White continued. "Plus, customers connected to Optus' DSL network will also have unlimited data with our range of Optus Reach bundles. So, no matter which new bundle they choose, customers now have the freedom of unlimited data."
Customers connected to the NBN, or Optus' cable or ADSL 2+ networks can choose between a range of value bundles, including:
- "My Basics" with unlimited standard local calls to landlines
- "My Entertainment" which offers unlimited standard local, national and mobile calls, and Yes TV by Fetch with a Connect Pack
- "My Entertainment Plus" with unlimited standard local, national, mobile and international calls to selected countries, with Yes TV by Fetch with an Entertainment Pack
Customers on the Optus DSL network can choose between one of the Optus Reach bundles, both with unlimited data.
