KFC has been known to experiment with it’s food offerings from time to time. But now its decided to drop the “food” part altogether, in a bid to make your keratin as delicious as possible.
As part of a marketing campaign in Hong Kong, KFC got together with creative firm Ogilvy & Mather and McCormick Foods to craft two flavours of nail polish — Original and Hot & Spicy.
According to Ogilvy’s John Koay, it goes on just like regular nail polish, but with a delectable, fried chicken finish we’ve been missing all our lives:
“The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish,” says Ogilvy creative director John Koay. “This campaign is designed to be intriguing and fun to increase excitement around the KFC brand in Hong Kong.”
Righto then. Great for the nail-biters, I guess.
Oh, they also put out this bizarre ad that suggests the polish may be spiked with some soft of psychotropic. Well, that’s my take anyway.
