Google’s Paris Offices Raided Over Tax Fraud Allegations

Google’s offices in Paris have been raided by the police over investigations about tax fraud.

Le Parisien reports that “hundreds” of tax and law enforcement officials have been at the offices since 5:00am local time. The newspaper claims that the activities were backed by five judges, and relate to “digital tax evasion”. There are few other details as the operation is said to be top secret.

Google’s Paris offices are close to the Gare Saint-Lazare in the ninth arrondissement.
