Does This Star Wars Force For Change Video Reveal The Resistance Base From Episode VIII?

The team behind the charity event Force for Change released a new video on Tuesday to celebrate Star Wars Day. On the surface, it’s simply a funny thank from Daisy Ridley for all the donations with some recognisable aliens. But I’m wondering… where is Ridley standing?

That’s definitely not a set from The Force Awakens. Sure, it could be a deep, dark corner of the First Order Finalizer, but then why are there Resistance members all over it? It’s also not Starkiller Base (for obvious reasons). My guess is it’s a new Resistance base.

It seems logical that, after the First Order figured out where their base was at the end of The Force Awakens, Leia and her crew have picked up and moved to a new spot, not unlike the Rebellion did between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. That would explain why BB-8, Admiral Ackbar, the Abednedo pilot that looks like the late Ello Asty and the Tarsunt officer Vober Dand are all there.

If that is a new Resistance base, it’s certainly somewhere more industrial than D’Qar, where they were in Episode VII.

Nerdiness aside, the Force For Change event is coming to an end and it’s worth your time. The videos have all been pretty fun too. Check them out.
