Casting An Aluminium Skillet From Molten Metal Is Totally Worth It

Video: I’m not sure which is my favourite part in the making of this cast aluminium skillet. Is it the tight packing of the foundry sand around the original cast iron skillet? Is it the careful pour of the molten aluminium into the mould? Is it when the excess metal is sawed off? Is it the sanding to finish it off? Or maybe it’s just the egg cooking as the reward for casting your own skillet.

It might just be all of it, I think. The quiet silence of all the work makes it totally worth it (for me to watch).
