Kogan Mobile Gets 4G In June

Hot on the footsteps of Telstra’s network partners Woolworths Mobile and Aldi, Kogan has announced that its prepaid plans — on the Vodafone network — will have 4G switched on in June.

Kogan Mobile’s three prepaid plans — the 1XL with 1GB of data and unlimited talk and text for $16.95, 3XL with 3GB for $29.95 and 5XL with 5GB for $36.95 — will have access to Vodafone’s 850MHz ‘low-band’ 4G network from June onwards.

Kogan’s 4G coverage map is a carbon copy of Vodafone’s, but like the deal between Telstra and its MVNOs it is likely that Kogan Mobile customers will not have access to Voice over LTE calls. [Kogan]
