10 Amazing Movies That Should Have Been Made That You Never Got to See

Video: Imagine John Lennon as Gollum, Paul McCartney as Frodo, Ringo as Sam and George Harrison as Gandalf. Oh, and Stanley Kubrick directing. Yes, The Beatles in The Lord of the Rings. That was was a movie that could have happened that we never got to see. Also, Darren Aronofsky doing Batman: Year One and Tim Burton directing Nicolas Cage as Superman. Also things that were planned by the movie studios but never happened! Here's a list of movies that never got made and which Screen Rant wishes they got to see.

  • Darren Aronofsky directing Batman: Year One
  • Paul Verhoeven and Arnold Schwarzenegger's Crusade
  • Alejandro Jodorowsky's Dune
  • George Miller's Justice League
  • Sergio Leone and Robert De Niro's Leningrad
  • Steven Spielberg's Night Skies
  • Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis
  • The Beatles in The Lord Of The Rings
  • Alfred Hitchcock's Kaleidoscope
  • Tim Burton's Superman Lives

Jodorowsky’s Dune would've been bad, going by what I've read about it. Just baaaad.

I'm still waiting for an epic Dune remake. Between the original film, book and RTS game there's so much room for an epic tale.

The Dune miniseries, and the followup werent too bad either.

So much potential built into the story, would be nice to see a modern version with less dodgy effects. Kinda like how the Total Recall remake was so much cleaner than Arnies camp original.

I watched the miniseries and it was AWFUL. I should probably do a rewatch though cause I might have prematurely turned them off. If they could get it Battlestar remake epic.... would be amazing.

Nope, they were awful. Pretty much took scenes directly from the film & added awful acting. The guy who played Gurny is the worst actor I've ever seen in anything.

Now that is pretty much how I remembered it haha.

Fair enough. I didnt mind them that much, but I'm fairly forgiving for content I enjoy so unless its Battlefield Earth level of abysmal, I tend to get something out of it.

About half the movies listed sound like bad ideas, not upset they didn't get made. There are a couple that sound intriguing though.
