While everyone is rather excited about a certain movie that lands next week, not everyone has forgotten that, you know, other films are coming out too. Take the next instalment of the X-Men franchise, Apocalypse, for which a trailer has just arrived.
“X-MEN: APOCALYPSE” (Fox seems to love capitalising these days) marks the first movie to transition completely to the new crew… as it were.
It’ll be interesting to see how the film holds up without the dramatic weight of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, both of whom always managed to anchor the whole endeavour.
On the bright side, the cast packs a punch: Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult… the list goes on. No shortage of talent there. The downer is we’ll be waiting until mid-next year — May specifically — to see it.
