Acer Has Plenty Of New Predator PC Gaming Gear

Acer is chasing gamers with its new Predator range of PCs, notebooks and monitors, the latter of which is of the massively curved variety. Would you shell out a few grand for these shiny behemoths?

This follows a massive swathe of new gadgets launched at the IFA show in Berlin a few months ago, and includes the same cutting-edge tech like the world’s thinnest metal fan blades and DustDefender reversed-flow fans that keep dust out rather than drawing it in. No word yet on the crazy Predator 8 gaming tablet, though.

The new Predator notebooks are promised to be “Acer’s fastest-ever professional gaming notebooks”, which seems like a lot of qualification, but we’ll just pop the stats below and let you judge for yourself.

Acer is really hoping you’ll be so enthusiastic about its new range you’ll call yourself part of the “Predator Tribe”. These are supposedly the folks who “the serious, professional gamers who want even faster response times and to be able to completely immerse themselves in their games.” I suppose we should be used to folks cashing in on the gamer identity by now.

And, sorry, I swear I’ll stop making fun of the press release after this one, but apparently Acer is “marking its territory” with the new notebooks, which rather conjures images of it leaning slightly to the right, and…

Well.
