Everyone knows the 12-megapixel iPhone 6s camera is leaps and bounds better than the 8-megapixel iPhone 6. But think about this: The first iPhone camera was only two megapixels. How much of a better photo does that equate to?

Over at their blog SnapSnapSnap, there’s a complete breakdown of the photos taken on every single iPhone ever made. I don’t want to know what kind of person has every single iPhone ever made in their possession. But it’s incredibly fun to check out the comparisons, which focus in on everything from the improvements in macro settings (obviously not available in the olden days) to how the iPhone got better at capturing skin tones.

The photos were taken with the Camera+ app and in addition to seeing the same photo taken by all nine phones, you can even select one phone and compare it, side by side to another.

The biggest jump in quality clearly came between the 3G and the 3Gs when Apple started to get serious about putting a good camera in the phone.
