The autumn foliage is out in force in eastern Siberia, and it’s beautiful.
This image, captured by the Moderate Resolution Image Spectroradiometer on NASA’s Aqua satellite, does a good job of showing how pretty the leaves can be.

But in the zoomed-out version of the same image, you can also see how gradual of a process it is — the foliage further south remains green, the north is already brown, and there’s just one sweet spot in the middle of perfect colour.
