Parents are outraged about the new Minions-themed Happy Meal toys at McDonalds. How could anyone be upset by those cute little guys from the new Despicable Me movie? Well, one of them appears to say “What the fuck?!” repeatedly.
After reading reports of complaints about the toy, we tracked down a YouTube video of the Minion Caveman. Indeed, when it’s turned on and tapped, the loincloth-bearing little guy says “What the fuck?!” over and over again. It’s pretty funny actually — but not if your a parent that doesn’t want your child to hear curse words from his Happy Meal toy.
McDonalds is playing it cool. In response to the controversy, the Big Mac-slinging corporation told one Fox affiliate, “Minions speak ‘Minionese,’ which is a random combination of languages and nonsense words.” Apparently, English slurs for sex acts in included in that random combination.
