Apple Music On Android: You Guys Are Going To Be Waiting A Loooong Time

Remember when Apple extended the open hand of friendship to Android users at WWDC, saying that the new Music streaming service would be given to them too? Bad news: Android users aren’t able to get the service at launch. That friendly hand may now feel like a bit of a slap in the face for Android users who can’t get on board on the ground floor, but there’s a good reason for it.

Essentially, Apple is still working on the app for Android. Apple has said that the app will be ready in the Spring for the Australia, which means around September.

Update: an older version of this story originally said it would be in March 2016. That date has since been corrected.

Yeesh.

It gets worse, too: when Apple Music finally does launch on Android, users won’t get the free three-month trial period like iOS users did.

Sorry, you lot.

Would you use Apple Music on Android?
