It’s not quite as thrilling as the original Endor chase sequence from Return of the Jedi, but Adam Woodworth has now created a Luke version of his speeder bike quadcopter allowing him and another pilot to recreate that scene while safely perched behind a pair of controllers.
The second version of the RC model provided a few extra challenges for Adam who had to remove lots of extra plastic from the doll Hasbro included with the toy so that it would be light enough to fly. But learning from his mistakes on the first model, he was able to lengthen the motor arms to facilitate eight-inch blades this time making the second model faster and more manoeuvrable. Spending an afternoon in a dense forest with a pair of these must be impossibly fun. [YouTube via Make]
