A Pen That Writes In Chocolate Is Just About The Best Thing Ever

Bic has been churning out ballpoint pens and other writing instruments since 1945, but to date the company’s R&D department hasn’t come up with an innovation in writing as ground-breaking as Skyrocket Toys’ Candy Craft Chocolate Pen. If you’re having trouble understanding why it’s so awesome, let us reiterate: it’s a pen… that writes in delicious chocolate.

A Pen That Writes In Chocolate Is Just About The Best Thing Ever

Unlike 3D printing pens that only extrude melted plastic that’s probably not a good idea to consume, everything that flows forth from the Candy Craft Chocolate Pen is a delicious edible treat, no matter what profane word a kid has written with it.

The $US30 pen, available this fall, uses a built-in electric motor to extrude real liquid chocolate from tubes that can be swapped in and out to change colours. So kids can easily create hand-drawn designs, or simply use the pen to precisely fill moulds. After a short while at room temperature (or in the fridge) the liquid chocolate hardens so a child’s creation can be handled and consumed, but what kid isn’t just going to put the tip of this pen directly in their mouths once a parent has turned their back?
