We already know that the Tesla Model S is quite a car to be reckoned with. It munches the road, humiliates Ferarris where they stand now it’s smashing records at a drag strip against a weaponised Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
The Model S P85D makes mince-meat of the Challenger, but mostly that’s because of the way the two put their power on the road.
The Model S is an electric car, which means it has all the torque available to it all the time from the word go. The Hellcat has to spool up to reach its maximum available power. Plus, the Hellcat just sits there spinning its wheels, not able to put its almost 700-horsepower on the road.
