Filming for the forthcoming — and much-troubled — Steve Jobs biopic started yesterday. With that came confirmation of the main cast that will feature in the film.
The film — confirmed to be called Steve Jobs–-will feature Michael Fassbender as Jobs himself. Alongside, Seth Rogan will play co-founder Steve Wozniak. Elsewhere, there are plenty of other early Apple employees being played by well-respected actors: Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, Jeff Daniels as Apple CEO John Sculley, Adam Shapiro as Avie Tevanian, Kate Winslet as a former marketing chief, and Sarah Snook as PR head Andrea Cunningham.
In terms of Jobs’s personal life, Katherine Waterston will play his ex-girlfriend Chrisann Brennan and Perla Haney-Jardine, Ripley Sobo and Makenzie Moss will all play Lisa Brennan — Jobs’s first child — “at various stages of her life”.
The project, with a script written by Aaron Sorkin, has now been in development for two years but faced difficulty at every turn. Now, it looks like it may finally make the screen. [Slash Film via The Verge]
