Fast Running Parkour Zombies Are The Stuff Of Nightmares

Yes, zombies are still popular. While the genre may have cooled somewhat for blockbuster movies, as far as game developers are concerned, it’s alive and well (so to speak). For Techland and its upcoming title Dying Light, rather than create a traditional trailer, it’s gone the live-action path with this (literally) dizzying first-person clip of a man doing everything he can to escape several extremely mobile zombies.

Dying Light mixes Techland’s own Dead Island with DICE’s Mirror’s Edge, resulting in a zombie game where you do a lot of running. The action here was done by Ampisound, a production company that specialises in parkour and freerunning.

The clip is mildly not safe for work — gore is minimal, but there are a few swear words emitted from our jump-happy hero. It’s also not kind to those who suffer from motion sickness. Otherwise, all I can say is if the zombie apocalypse arrives and it turns everyone into undead super-coordinated mega athletes, we are utterly screwed.
