Toys: It’s rare that a remake of a movie lives up to the original, and the recent RoboCop reboot was definitely no exception. What it did have going for it was some awesome robot designs, and while we’re still partial to Peter Weller’s RoboCop, the 2014 version still translates to an impressive 12-inch figure courtesy of Threezero.
A trio of watch batteries keeps a white LED glowing inside RoboCop’s visor, and the fully-articulated figure includes guns that pop-out of his leg holsters, as well as three interchangeable hands for when you want him posed with a weapon in hand. What’s most impressive, though, is the amazing sculpt of actor Joel Kinnaman (“Linden!”) that’s revealed when you remove RoboCop’s visor. At 12-inches tall, the figure’s head is more than large enough to lend itself to some impressive detail, but the human version of Alex Murphy is almost a bit unsettling.
RoboCop 1.0 is currently available for pre-order directly from Threezero’s site for $US230, with a delivery expected sometime in mid-2015. [Threezero via Plastic and Plush]
