It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that Disney has a whole division at its theme parks dedicated to making fairytale weddings a reality. But what is surprising is the awesome technology those wedding planners have at their disposal, like wonderful projection-mapped cakes that make it look as if the frosting is magically animated.
The effect is easily achieved with a white frosted cake serving as the screen for an overhead projector creating the animations, but it’s still a great way to proclaim wedding dominance over your friends. Cupcakes? What is this, 2012?
And if the whole Tinker Bell and fairy dust effect isn’t doing it for you, remember that Disney now owns the Star Wars franchise.
