UberPool: Uber Wants To Double Down On Ride-Sharing In Sydney With This New Feature

Uber’s low-cost UberX ride-sharing service is just step one in a plan to introduce new transport options into Sydney, according to a new report.

In an interview with The Australian Financial Review the head of Uber Sydney, David Rohrsheim, said that the company is currently investigating the potential deployment of UberPool in Australia.

UberPool is a service that lets users literally ride share. Two people are both in Sydney’s CBD, for example, and need to get to the airport. Both would flag that on UberPool and jump in the one car together to get to their destination.
