Dell’s 27-Inch 5K Monitor Is Like Filet Mignon For Your Eyeballs

Dell’s 27-Inch 5K Monitor Is Like Filet Mignon For Your Eyeballs

For those who like to really spoil their eyes, Dell’s new 27-inch monitor services them a whopping resolution of 5120×2880. That works out to 14.7 million pixels in total, and 218 PPI. That’s just a hair shy of the 15-inch MacBook Pro’s 220 PPI, on a display that’s nearly twice the diagonal lenth. Wowza.

Connectivity options aren’t official yet, but with a price tag of around $US2500 when it’s available sometime closer to Christmas, it’s safe to assume that Dell’s new monitor will come well-equipped with such luxuries as DisplayPort and HDMI, presuming it’s targeting the graphics professional market, or those of us hoping to cram even more open tabs into our over-taxed Chrome browsers.
