Apple Finally Killed The iPod Classic. RIP iPod Classic.

Apple Finally Killed The iPod Classic. RIP iPod Classic.

Today is a sad day. Today is also a happy day for severalexcitingreasons, but today is a sad day for one very specific reason. Today is the day the iPod Classic died.

It’s true. Following its volley of announcements this morning, Apple updated its website per usual, and per usual, inventories shifted. The inventory of iPod Classics is just gone, though. You can buy a Shuffle or a Nano in seven different colours. You can buy an iPod Touch in five different colours. But you cannot buy an iPod Classic.

I know what you’re thinking: Didn’t the iPod Classic die a long time ago? In some people’s hearts, it surely did. But not this blogger’s. For me, that old clickwheel will keep on spinning, round and round forever.
