Video: When it comes to punishing GoPros, Copenhagen Suborbitals definitely takes the cake: The experimental rocket-building start-up mounted an action cam right in the line of (literal) fire during a rocket test. Astoundingly, the thing survived. It’s been to hell and back, and it has the video to prove it.
The footage next to the rocket blast is amazing on its own, but things get really odd around the 2:30 mark. That’s when the GoPro’s mounting hardware fails, and the camera falls off the rocket platform, through a hellstew of flames, and lands somewhere down below. It looks like it’s actually in Dante’s inferno.
