Report: The Next iPad Will Have A New Glare-Free Display

The next iPad will have a new anti-reflection coating to make the display easier to read, according to a new Bloomberg report. The news agency claims that Apple’s suppliers have already started putting together the new iPads, which will feature a special coating on their display to cut glare.

But manufacturing complications as a result of the new screens are holding up the production of the full-sized tablet, says Bloomberg.

According to “people with knowledge of the matter”, the next version of the full-sized 9.7-inch tablet will be unveiled by the end of this quarter or early next. But, sadly, it sounds like they might not be available in huge abundance: Bloomberg reckons that output will be restricted because of manufacturing constraints.

Elsewhere, the report claims that the new iPad Mini will only be available by the end of the year — but hopefully in time for Christmas. If all this is accurate, it won’t be the first time Apple will have struggled against manufacturing difficulties in order to get its products out the door — but we’ll have to wait and see how serious the problem proves.
