The Verge reports that Microsoft has two new phones set to launch imminently. The first is a so-called “selfie phone”, the second is a premium Lumia. The first makes us want to give up all hope, the second has definite potential.
According to The Verge, Microsoft devices chief Stephen Elop recently revealed the two new phones at a company meaning. The selfie phone is a 4.7-incher with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The premium phone is expected to be an “affordable” successor to the Nokia Lumia 720 (830?), complete with a PureView camera and a design similar to the recent 930, except less hefty.
Putting Nokia’s dope PureView camera technology in a cheaper premium phone sounds awesome. As for this selfie phone — that positioning bodes badly for everyone. [The Verge]
