Doctor Who’s Season 8 Premiere Episode Leaks Online

Fancy an early look at the first episode of Doctor Who‘s eight season? You’ll have to engage in piracy to get it: a rough cut of the premiere episode has leaked onto torrent sites around the world.

According to a new report, the Doctor Who is is heavily watermarked and far from finished, but it gives fans a look inside the first episode before it goes live in late-August.

The BBC has asked people not to watch it and to keep the surprise for when the series officially debuts:

This is part of BBC Worldwide’s ongoing security investigation into leaked unfinished Doctor Who materials. This content is currently being removed and originates from the same Miami server disabled last week, it is not a new issue. We’d like to thank the amazing Doctor Who fans who are continuing to keep fansites and social media spoiler-free.”

This statement from the BBC sounds an awful lot like the one from a few weeks ago when five of the new series’ scripts leaked online for all to read after being left on an unencrypted web server for a week.

All in all, the BBC looks to be doubling down on stupid leaks for its new flagship show. [The Mary Sue]
