That Time Some Of The Greatest Minds In Comedy Got To Talking

“Inside the Actor’s Studio” is, I think we can all agree, a major snooze-fest — what with James Lipton’s monotonous droning and all. But if you want to get inside the minds of Hollywood’s elite comedians without falling asleep, look no further than the Nantucket Film Festival’s Comedy Roundtable.

Since 2009, the Nantucket Film Festival has hosted a series of fascinating roundtable discussions with some of today’s top comedic talents including Michael Ian Black, Jim Carrey, Harold Ramis, Chris Rock, Seth Meyers, Sarah Silverman, and Zach Galifianakis. As a four-person roundtable (three guests and a moderator), these session delve into a wide array of heady topics and often stray into enthralling anecdotes from these comedians’ time in the industry. It’s equally fascinating and hilarious.

The two most recent discussions — last year’s with Ben Stiller, Michael Ian Black, Mike Myers, and Seth Meyers as well as 2012’s with Ben Stiller, Bill Hader, Chris Rock, and Jim Carrey — are now available on Netflix and through Amazon. Plus, this year’s round table is happening two days from now.
