Body-worn cameras are apparently beneficial for both police and the public; they reduce the number of complaints of police brutality in the United States where they are already used, and moderate the behavior of both police and the individuals being filmed. NSW’s camera rollout has already run into the question of actually storing the resultant footage, with over 700TB of data expected to be recorded per year.
