This month we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of Ghostbusters, the supernatural comedy penned by Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis. If you haven’t already, you should find a few hours to watch both movies — or at least the first one if you’re short on time. If that’s too much to ask, how about giving two minutes for this hilarious clay-mation adaptation?
At this stage I should probably add a NSFW warning, due entirely to is gory nature, but otherwise it’s harmless.
The combination of Tarantino and Ghostbusters is… interesting, made even more bizarre by the addition of clay-mation. Put together by Lee Hardcastle (who happens to have quite a few similarly disturbing productions under his belt), it juggles just the right amount of ludicrous mouldable phyllosilicates with pithy dialogue.
I’m not aware of any sword that’s capable of making one’s head disappear with a single swipe (to be replaced by a geyser of blood), or the fact that the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man has teeth hidden inside his soft, white head, but these are a couple of the tidbits you’ll be exposed to while watching this video.
