Vivid Sydney Kicks Off Tonight With A Spectacular Light Show

If you’re in Sydney over the next couple of weeks, take a trip out to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Martin Place or a host of other city locations and check out some of the Vivid Sydney installations on show. It’s a huge festival of lights and music, and there are heaps of talks as well.

With Intel as a major sponsor, Vivid Sydney is going to be an amazing couple of weeks. The show kicks off with the Lighting Of The Sails, starting at 6:30PM. Award-winning international design house 59 Productions has made this year’s projection, “a dramatic journey through time from the birth of architecture and civilization through to the pinnacle of human and technological achievement”.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect from the Vivid Sydney festival. It’s a teaser from Destination NSW in conjunction with Vivid:

Bonus: Intel is teaming up with Gelato Messina on a limited edition “Silly Cone Chips” flavour:

The ‘Silly Cone Chips’ flavour may have a silly name but it delivers serious taste. On the outside you’ll find popping candy, crushed chocolate chip cookies and a mango/coconut swirl but just like computers, it’s on the inside that the real excitement happens. An inverted cone filled with banana caramel will leave even the sweetest sweet tooth satisfied.

To celebrate the creation, Intel will be giving out a limited number of free ‘Silly Cone Chips’ to some of those skillful enough to catch the Intel Blue Ulysses Butterfly in the Digital Forest at Martin Place.
