Samsung Has No Plans To ‘Discontinue’ Music Hub In Australia

There are plenty of places on the internet to fulfil your streaming music needs, though if Samsung’s Music Hub is your current choice of audible poison, you may have heard the company plans to shut down the service in just over a month’s time. Turns out this particular piece of bad news doesn’t apply to Australia.

In an email statement yesterday, Samsung’s local presence made it clear that Australia’s version of Music Hub is a “separate platform” to those in “overseas markets”. As such, the company will continue to offer the service here, at least for the foreseeable future.

The clarification came not longer after a broad announcement that Samsung would be discontinuing Music Hub as of 1 July.

It’s not clear if this is just a stay of execution, or a genuine attempt by Samsung Australia to give the service it’s all. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
