If we’ve learned anything from the history of 20th century vapourware, this gorgeous hoverbike from Aerofex probably won’t be hitting showroom floors by 2017. Companies that announce release dates of two or three years away generally like to keep pushing it further into the future while they’re raising money. Just look at flying cars and commercial spaceflight.
But if you actually have $5000 burning a hole in your pocket, why not put down a deposit? It’s refundable, and if you have that kind of money to burn — $85,000 is the final price they’re predicting, although that’s subject to change — there’s really no harm.
Historically speaking, we’re all going to be dead soon anyways. So what does it matter if it’s 2017 or 2057?
