A Mesmerising Globe Of Emoji Tweeted Around The World In Real Time

Checking out Emoji use on Twitter is nothing new, but new web app Silicon Feelings is the first we’ve seen to pull the tweets’ geolocation data too. The result is absolutely mesmerising.

Created by Bradley Griffith, the site actually pulls its data from Emoji Tracker, although it only displays a) the most popular emoji and b) those that come with geolocation data attached. What’s more — unlike Emoji Tracker — this one doesn’t come with the risk of an epileptic seizure.

Still, a word of caution: Once you start watching, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to stop. [Silicon Feelings]
