Say what you will about urban exploration as a hobby, these guys sure do find some cool shit sometimes. Thank goodness they take cameras with them.
The BBC recently highlighted a group of urban explorers who have visited industrial infrastructure all over the former Soviet Bloc. From massive water pipes (above) to abandoned mines (below), the locations sound ordinary enough, but the photos are nothing short of extraordinary.
This underground gypsum mine in eastern Ukraine is part of a larger underground city, complete with street signs.
There’s even an urban explorer takes a nap on top of Kiev’s South Bridge, the tallest in Ukraine.
