Why let Hollywood studios destroy your childhood, when random fans on the internet will treat your loving memories much better? The Robocop reboots are coming out and roundly panning the film, so what better time to take the covers off a scene-for-scene retelling of the classic film made by folks on the internet?
It’s called Our Robocop Remake, and while it features snippets of the original film, it’s mostly a faithful retelling of the 1987 movie.
It took 50 amateur and professional filmmakers to create the crowdsourced reboot. They divided the scenes between themselves and remade it in their own style, similar to the crowdsourced Star Wars reboot last year.
It premiered last month in Los Angeles, and released to the public on the day of the Robocop reboot premiere.
