To make it waterproof and a little stiffer for riding, one of the boards was laminated using a store-bought polyurethane, while others were bonded using the same resin the company developed for its traditional snowboards. Surprisingly, the boards worked great, even surviving jumps and other obstacles. And while they didn’t quite last through a day on the slopes, they also only cost about $US14 each.
