So you’re a swallow just flying along and *BAM* a fish jumps out and snatches you from the air. Scientists have been hearing rumours about this bird-eating-tigerfish for years but never put much stock in the rumours. At a lake in South Africa’s Mapungubwe National Park, however, they saw this happen 20 times.
“[T]he first reaction was one of pure joy, because we realised that we were spectators to something really incredible and unique,” one of the scientists told Nature. And now you can see for yourself in the video.
