LG’s Curved OLED TV Is Now $4000 Cheaper

When LG’s 55-inch Curved OLED TV was launched in Australia last year, the list price was an eye-watering $11,999. TV prices generally fall fast, and LG now says that an increase in manufacturing capacity means it can drop the price. By how much? A cool $4000, it seems.

LG’s announcement of the price reduction didn’t include a list price (LG says it isn’t quoting them any more as retailers usually discount them anyway). However, Harvey Norman is now listing the TV for $7999, which is a massive drop. $8000 is still a lot for a television, but at least it’s now below five figures.
