Google Glass Owners Can Get An Updated Pair For Free

Those ahead of the curve enough to be in possession of Google Glass can now swap their existing pair of smart specs for an updated version of the hardware — free of charge.

While the new version of Glass, unveiled October 28, looks identical to the old one, Google says that it’s “a bit faster and more durable”. It’s also compatible with all the impending range of accessories, and the new prescription frames too.

Existing owners who purchased Glass before October 28th are eligible for the upgrade. They just need to register and swap their units by February 5, 2014, and can choose a new colour, if they like. That’s the kind of generosity that comes with a $US1500 pair of specs! [Google via SlashGear via The Verge]
