Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 2: A Monster Phone With Limp Specs

Samsung’s Galaxy Grand 2: A Monster Phone With Limp Specs

You’re looking at the monstrous Samsung Galaxy Grand 2. With a screen that measures 5.25 inches on the diagonal, it’s got plenty of display real estate — but not, perhaps, quite the guts to support it.

Firstly, despite the huge screen, it only packs 800 x 480 pixels — that’s just 178 ppi. Elsewhere, there’s 8GB of storage, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera and no LTE. It will run Android 4.3 and come in white, black and pink colour options.

A dual SIM option hints that the phone will be available globally, but prices are yet to be confirmed. Hopefully it will be mercifully cheap. [Samsung]
