Believe it or not, during summer in the city it’s not only when the oppressive sun that heats the streets below. No, the buildings like to help spread the love around by hoarding the heat and dishing it out themselves. This is what it looks like.

Leaves and trees have the ability to stay cool by transpiration, the plant equivalent of good old fashioned sweat. But buildings and asphalt aren’t so lucky, so you can thank them for the swealtering, urban heat.
