Android Tablets have sold very well indeed — especially in Australia — but the software support for tablet-specific apps has been a bit hit and miss to date. It looks like that’s changing, though, with an Android-tablet specific version of Twitter spotted at IFA — and then inevitably leaking online.
If you want it, the APK is up at AndroidNext.de, but there are a lot of reports of it being more than just a little bit crashy, which is to be expected of non-optimised early code. Still, it’s promising that Android might start gaining tablet app ground on iOS; competition is good for everybody.
