This Is Possibly Perhaps What The New iPad Will Look Like

There have been a number of component leaks all claiming to show off Apple’s new iPad recently. But now prolific Apple leaker Sonny Dickson has put together components to give us the best idea so far of what the next-gen iPads might look like.

In fact, the new images align neatly with a video which appeared online last week. So, the frame of the tablet is 17mm narrower than previous models, thanks to a thinner bezel like that found on the iPad mini. The images also appear to show cases without the plastic insert currently found on iPads, which house the device’s radio antenna.

Elsewhere, leaked components from the iPad mini look practically identical to those currently on sale. In both cases take a large pinch of salt — but it does seem likely that Apple is putting the larger iPad on a diet this year.

Honestly, we aren’t expecting to see a new iPad at Apple’s launch event tomorrow — but you never quite can tell. Not long to wait though. [Sonny Dickson via Verge]
