LG Announces 8.3″ G Pad 8.3

LG’s as keen on its G branding as Samsung is on Galaxy or Apple is on “i”. The company’s latest effort, the G Pad is an 8.3″ Android 4.2.2 effort.

Announced just pre-IFA — when it seems everyone is rushing to announce before they get swamped — the G Pad 8.3 will run a 1.7GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 600 with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and a 4600mAh battery. It’s expected to go on sale in the fourth quarter “worldwide” (which can mean different things to different companies), with no indication on pricing.

With the 2013 Nexus 7 showing that it’s possible to make a great Android tablet for not very much money, here’s hoping that LG prices the G Pad 8.3 aggressively.
