The IT Pricing Inquiry has been quietly trundling along now for almost 12 months, and after heated questions and a helluva wait, the final report has now been tabled in Federal Parliament.
We’re pouring through the 150-page report right now, but we expect it to focus heavily on removing geoblocks for Australian shoppers buying gear and software online so that they can get access to cheaper prices offered internationally.
We also expect a heavy focus on education campaigns for the public to tell them how not to get ripped off online.
More soon.
