Power Wheels? Yeah right. The real upper-class twerps set their sights a little higher, and pester hedge-fund manager parents for something along this lines of this kids-only Porsche. “It’s oooooonly $900. Pretty please?”
The deceptively named “Porsche Driver’s Selection Go-Kart” is of the pedal-powered variety, and is actually a bit late to the high-class pedal-powered car market; Mercedes and Ferrari put in for their pieces of the doubtlessly lucrative pie years ago.
1.5m long and 30kg, the Go-Kart boasts high-quality drive components of metal and plastic, typically used in bicycles for adult people. Inflatable tyres, a hand brake, and the ability to pedal forwards and backwards all come standard. The only requirement, aside from the cash, is a weight limit. This is for wealthy children that weigh 50kg or less. Opulence over corpulence!
Interested child thousandaires can find the kart at local authorised Porsche dealers. That is if they can get someone to drive them. [Porsche via CNET]
