Cancer sucks. Always. But it might be at its absolute suckiest when it strikes kids. Thank God for awesome doctors like these ones in Brazil. Instead of doling out regular chemotherapy medication, the doctors repackage the medication into a superhero formula complete with its own superhero case.
It doesn’t stop there. It gets better. The doctors actually create custom comic books that show the superheroes go through the same thing these kids are. And for the superheroes to grow stronger, they have to take the same superhero formula that the kids take.
It’s turning something intimidating and scary into something more relatable and maybe even fun. If it at least makes one kid smile, it’s done something right. [JWT Brazil]
